Xenia Groh-Hu
has been managing director of Karsten Witt Musik Management since March 2011, and has worked as an artist and project manager at the company since it was founded in 2004.
Having initially worked on orchestral tours and special projects, she now focuses on soloists, conductors and new music.
Before working at Karsten Witt Musik Management, Xenia Groh-Hu managed Austrian musical ensembles, taught piano at the Purkersdorf Music School in Vienna between 1995-2003, and took part in educational music projects for children for the Kulturkontakt Austria and Theater Akzent Vienna, amongst others. In 1999 she founded the Austrian organisation AsianCultureLink to foster cultural exchange between Asia and Europe.
Xenia Groh-Hu was born in Zürich and brought up in Taipei and Vienna. She studied Musicology (in combination with Theatre, Sinology and Business Administration) at the University of Vienna, piano at the Conservatory of Music in Vienna (MUK) and attended several cultural management courses. She has given lectures and workshops on traditional and contemporary Chinese music and worked as a translator for cultural institutions and projects from 1992.
