Andrea Jung
joined Karsten Witt Musik Management in June 2019 as Projects & Touring Manager.
Originally from Berlin, she studied Vocal Performance with American soprano Carmen Balthrop at the University of Maryland, USA, where she obtained her Bachelor and Master of Music degrees.
During her Graduate Studies, she worked in Arts Administration at the adjacent Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center (CSPAC), where – as part of a scholarship - she learned the ropes of Stage Management and Events Management. She was offered a permanent position at CSPAC following her music studies and worked in the cultural participation and artistic programming team responsible for all visiting artists participating in the center's own performance series Maryland Presents.
When moving from the States to the UK, Andrea continued to work in artistic programming as a member of the classical music team at the Barbican Centre in London responsible for the Barbican's own promotions Great Performers and Mostly Mozart.
She obtained her Master of Arts degree in Culture, Policy and Management from City, University of London with her dissertation focussing on audience development for orchestral music. Subsequently, she joined the Development Team of the British period ensemble Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment.
At kwmm, she is responsible for the planning and implementation of projects with our various national and international partners. She is in charge of touring as well as our own promotions at Philharmonie Berlin, Elbphilharmonie Hamburg and other venues in Germany and abroad, which we organise via our events platform CLSX.de. In this role, she also works on the conception of new concert formats and the development of new marketing strategies.
