28-year-old conductor Gaetano Lo Coco seamlessly combines musical excellence with intercultural sensitivity. In a short space of time, he has made a name for himself internationally in both the operatic and symphonic repertoire.

We are delighted to be working for the young conductor Gaetano Lo Coco!

Raised in Rome and London with family roots in Italy, Spain and Argentina, he is fluent in six languages. He made his international debut in 2022 when he stepped in at short notice for a performance of Nabucco with Plácido Domingo, the Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra and the Vienna State Opera Chorus in Graz. In the same year, he made his debut with the ORF Radio Symphony Orchestra at the Vienna Musikverein, the Slovak Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Orquesta Simfònica de les Illes Balears and the Silesian Philharmonic Orchestra Katowice. Successful opera engagements have recently taken him to the Teatro de la Maestranza Sevilla (Nabucco), the Opéra national de Lorraine (Der Silbersee) and the Opera Vlaanderen (Petrushka/The Seven Deadly Sins), among others.

The next opportunities to experience Gaetano Lo Coco on the podium will be in January at the Teatro Verdi in Salerno (Beethoven, Tchaikovsky) and in March at the Opéra national de Lorraine in Nancy (Ustvolskaya, Tchaikovsky) as well as at the Teatro Universidad de Concepción/Chile (Carmen).
