Titus Engel and the Basel Sinfonietta will travel to the Hamburg International Music Festival at the Elbphilharmonie for a concert on 10 May, featuring works by Dieter Ammann and John Luther Adams.

The Basel Sinfonietta and its Principal Conductor Titus Engel are guests at the Elbphilharmonie with a special programme: with Andreas Haeflinger at the piano, the orchestra performs Dieter Ammann's piano concerto Gran Toccata, which was premiered to great acclaim in 2019. This will be followed by John Luther Adams' Pulitzer Prize- and Grammy-winning orchestral piece Become Ocean, in which the composer and environmental activist responds to the forecast of rapidly rising sea levels.
