On 15 March 2024, the CD was released on the Berlin Classics label, for which the Mozarteum Orchestra under the direction of Lin Liao recorded three special compositions: The Concert Music for violin and small chamber orchestra, an early work, was composed in the middle of the Second World War. The young violinist Ziyu He performed the work for the first time in front of an audience as part of a concert with the Mozarteum Orchestra under Lin Liao on the 10th anniversary of the composer's death, resulting in the first recording of the work.
With Il Vitalino raddoppiato, the recording includes another work for violin and chamber orchestra, originally composed for Gidon Kremer on commission for the Salzburg Festival as variations on a chaconne attributed to Tomaso Antonio Vitali.
For the Mozart Year 1991, Hans Werner Henze arranged three of Mozart's church sonatas for small orchestra. They date from the time when Mozart was employed as court and cathedral organist in Salzburg. Lin Liao and the Mozarteum Orchestra are now presenting these arrangements as world premiere recordings.
