String quartets by Brahms, Haydn, Turnage and Schubert are on the programme of the seven concerts that the Castalian String Quartet will be performing on its tour of Canada and the USA between 3 and 17 November.

The tour will take the four musicians from Vancouver to Indianapolis, Maryland, Montreal, Cambridge/Massachusetts and Utica/New York. In their luggage they not only have Schubert's late quartets, which are the focus of the quartet this season, but also works by Brahms, Haydn, Turnage, Kurtág, Bray, Beethoven and Coleridge-Taylor.
