Congratulations to Holly Hyun Choe who was selected as a Dudamel Fellow of the Los Angeles Philharmonic! During the LA Phil’s Hollywood Bowl season 2024 and the 2024/25 season at Walt Disney Concert Hall, she will work with Gustavo Dudamel and members of the Los Angeles Philharmonic as part of the Dudamel Fellowship Program, as well as with guest artists and conductors including Zubin Mehta, Esa-Pekka Salonen, Xian Zhang, Natalie Stutzmann, and Philippe Jordan. Her debut concert in the LA Phil's Symphony for Youth series will take place on 17 May 2025.
Holly Hyun Choe is Principal Conductor of Ensemble Reflektor and Artiste Associée of the Orchestre de Chambre de Genève. Born in South Korea and raised in Los Angeles, she studied with Prof. Charles Peltz at the New England Conservatory and with Prof. Johannes Schlaefli at the Zurich University of the Arts. After two seasons as Assistant Conductor of the Tonhalle-Orchester Zurich under Paavo Järvi, she continues to enjoy numerous fruitful collaborations as a guest conductor in the United States and Europe.
Holly Hyun Choe's career has been supported by the Solti Foundation, the Taki Alsop Fellowship Programme, the Forum Dirigieren of the German Music Council and the Peter Eötvös Foundation.
