Julia Kadar

has been connected to classical music for as long as she can remember. Growing up with passionate amateur-musician parents, she was exposed to music at an early age. She first played the recorder (the standard beginner’s instrument in the former Eastern Bloc) and then the violin; later she studied music education and special education.

Driven by curiosity and the desire to engage more deeply with the classical music world on a professional level, she moved into cultural management, initially as an intern at the Kronberg Academy.

There, it quickly became clear to her that this was the environment in which she wanted to stay and make a difference. Key formative stages of her career include the Lockenhaus Chamber Music Festival (2005–2009), the Orchestra Academy of the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival, the Bayerische Kammerphilharmonie, Deutsche Grammophon, and the Impresariat Simmenauer.

In 2011, she founded premiertone, an agency through which she supported numerous artists and ensembles in marketing and PR. From 2021 until autumn 2025, Julia served as Personal Assistant to conductor Iván Fischer. In this role, she was closely involved in a wide range of responsibilities, including fundraising for the Budapest Festival Orchestra and acting as Managing Director of the Ivan Fischer Opera Company.
