Vito Žuraj's composition Iomena will be premiered at the Taschenopernfestival in Salzburg in a production conducted by Peter Rundel with the SWR Vocal Ensemble and presented on four dates from 12 to 16 November.

Thomas Mann, Elias Canetti and Hannah Ahrendt provide the material for the musical theatre project entitled Mensch, Masse. Macht (Man, Mass, Power), to which Vito Žuraj, Elena Mendoza, Nikolaus Brass and Bernd Richard Deutsch have contributed compositions. Under the musical direction of Peter Rundel, the SWR Vocal Ensemble and the Salzburg Festival Children's Choir will perform on stage at the Odeïon Salzburg, together with a four-member acting ensemble.

The Taschenopernfestival (Pocket Opera Festival), organised by the Klang21 association and held biennially since 2005, promotes interdisciplinary collaborations in contemporary music theatre; Peter Rundel has been the festival's musical director since 2019.
