We are delighted to overtake the General Management for Julian Steckel, who draws his energetic power on the instrument from a cultivated simplicity that enables him to play with apparent ease and seemingly limitless technical skill. “As a performer, I trust my inner landscape more and more and let the audience in. It's a vulnerability that ultimately makes you stronger,” he states.
In the current season, he can be heard performing a great deal of chamber music, but also as a guest with major orchestras, giving concerts with prominent partners such as Carolin Widmann, Paul Meyer, Nils Mönkemeyer, and Amihai Grosz, as well as with orchestras such as the Frankfurt Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Tonkünstler Orchestra, the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, and the Orchestre Symphonique de Québec. A video stream of his interpretation of Shostakovich's First Cello Concerto with the Frankfurt Radio Symphony Orchestra under Tabita Berglund from November 2025 is currently available on ARTE Concert.
