Bas Wiegers conducts the SWR Symphony Orchestra in Stuttgart and at the ACHT BRÜCKEN festival in Cologne on 8, 9 and 11 May with works by Lutosławski, Saariaho and Debussy. Violinist Carolin Widmann will perform with the orchestra as a soloist.

With Verblendungen for orchestra and tape (sound direction: Matthias Schneider) and Graal théâtre for violin and orchestra (soloist: Carolin Widmann), the orchestra presents two pieces by the composer Kaija Saariaho, who died two years ago and is the focus of this year's ACHT BRÜCKEN festival in Cologne.
