The concert at the Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino begins with Rachmaninov's Symphony No. 2, followed by Manuel de Falla's Orchestral Suites Nos. 1 and 2 to his ballet The Three-Cornered Hat. Ravel's scorching Bolero concludes the programme, which will be broadcast on Rai Radio 3 at a later date.
