On 1 April, Ryoko Aoki will premiere Fabián Panisello's Change in Cuenca, performing alongside the PluralEnsemble under the baton of the composer who, in his new composition, juxtaposes a contemporary assessment of climate change with historical Japanese nature poetry.

The semi-scenic work for Noh voice, baritone and ensemble links the Sixth Assessment Report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC AR6) with Japanese poetry from the 9th to the 12th centuries by Saigyô, Prince Shiki, Ariwara no Narihira, Izumi Kyoka, Ki no Tsurayuki and Matsuo Bashō.
