In a portrait concert to mark Lukas Ligeti's 60th birthday, Ensemble Hopper will be performing three of his works, including a world premiere, at the Festival Mosaïques in Brussels on 6 September.

To the occasion of Lukas Ligeti's 60th birthday and his appointment as Professor of Composition at the Conservatoire royal de Bruxelles, the Mosaïques Festival is presenting a portrait concert. The Hopper Ensemble, conducted by François Deppe, will perform the quintet Actaonella, premiered in 2022, as well as La parole seule for mezzo-soprano and six instruments, composed in 2020. Julie Vercauteren will take on the vocal part in the work, based on a text by François Emmanuel, which sets to music a young woman's monologue addressed to her deceased father. The new work Six Arpeggiators will also be premiered.
