With the kwmm Academy, we aim to equip musicians and composers with the tools necessary for successful self-management. Additionally, our Academy can prove invaluable for aspiring cultural managers focusing on the realm of music.
At the core of our initiative lies personalised guidance. Moreover, we regularly offer various courses designed to impart tailored practical knowledge on strategic, legal, and administrative aspects concerning self-employment, project management, and developmental opportunities within an evolving cultural and political landscape.
The kwmm Academy is founded upon our own expertise in international music management, specialising in artist representation, touring, self-produced events, consulting, coaching, and enhanced by our extensive network developed over many years. We invite distinguished experts from the cultural and creative industries as guest lecturers, keynote speakers, and participants in discussion forums.
Our courses can be attended live in Berlin and online.
Testimonials
I’ve attended two workshops with Karsten Witt Artist Management, and they’ve been incredibly helpful. From understanding the business side of being a conductor—like contracts, negotiations, and networking—to learning how to build a professional image and use social media effectively, these sessions have been packed with practical, real-world advice. The facilitators shared tons of personal experience, which made everything super engaging and easy to apply. This kind of knowledge is often missing from traditional music education, so I’m really grateful for these workshops!
Simón Zerpa Carballo - Conductor
I really enjoyed connecting with them on a personal level. We hear so much about “management” as an abstract. But these are real human beings just like us.
I particularly found it valuable learning about the demands of their work, they type of expertise they use towards solving specific problems that arise in the day to day business of making music.
It was also great to get their perspective on the big picture challenges of the Arts in general, specifically as it relates to funding cuts, and the new demands of the digital world.
