Simon Steen-Andersen traces the history of Zurich Opera House and its younger counterpart, the Bernhard Theatre, in his new musical theatre production. At the heart of this exploration is mezzo-soprano Liliana Nikiteanu, who has been associated with the opera house for 34 years. She is accompanied on the piano by a five-piece instrumental ensemble conducted by Stefan Schreiber.
