As part of the final concert of the Donaueschinger Musiktage, the Neue Vocalsolisten and the SWR Symphonieorchester under Vimbayi Kaziboni will premiere Chaya Czernowin's work Unforeseen dusk: bones into wings on 20 October.

Chaya Czernowin's work, commissioned by SWR and the New York Philharmonic, has a strong link to her a cappella piece Immaterial, which was premiered by the Neue Vocalsolisten at the Eclat Festival in 2021 - a "sound theatre of pure voices", according to the composer.
