Ryoko Aoki at the Concertgebouw Amsterdam

For a performance of Arnold Schönberg's Pelleas and Melisande staged by Pierre Audi, Nô performer Ryoko Aoki returns to the Royal Concertgebouw Orkest, which is celebrating the composer's 150th birthday with a musical triptych at the end of October.

Ryoko Aoki had already worked together with Pierre Audi with great success at the Teatro Real in Madrid in 2013 on Wolfgang Rihm's opera The Conquest of Mexico. In Amsterdam, the director is now staging a Schönberg triptych, which can be seen at the Concertgebouw on 25 and 27 October.
