In her works, Justė Janulytė subjects multi-layered textures to gradual metamorphoses through her very own perspective on minimalism and spectralism. We are delighted to be working with the Lithuanian composer from now on!

A warm welcome to Justė Janulytė! With her expansive textures and dynamic and harmonic metamorphoses that unfold as if in slow motion, she explores the musical perception of space and time, often composing for dense, monochromatic ensembles (strings only, wind instruments only or voices only). Without pauses, breaks or audible instrumental entries, this music flows in constant motion. Born in Vilnius in 1982 and now living mainly in Italy, the composer is often inspired by the developmental cycles of natural phenomena.
