Vito Žuraj's opera Blühen new production in Maribor

Vito Žuraj's opera Blühen (Blossoming), named Premiere of the Year by Opernwelt magazine, will be staged in a new production at the Slovenian National Theatre Maribor from 27 December to 3 December.

Vito Žuraj's first full-length opera premiered in Frankfurt in 2023 under the musical direction of Michael Wendeberg and staged by Brigitte Fassbaender, and was named the premiere of the year in the Opernwelt magazine's yearbook. The work, based on a libretto by Händl Klaus, was recently revived in Frankfurt.
