“Shirinyan’s energy and the clarity of her fingerwork are infectious,” writes Gramophone Magazine, highlighting Marianna Shirinyan’s ability to convey her pianistic charisma directly to the audience. The Armenian-Danish musician’s international career began in 2006 when she won no fewer than five prizes at the ARD International Music Competition in Munich.
Since then, she has established her reputation, particularly in Scandinavia, as one of the best-known pianists and, beyond that, as a creative and dynamic figure in musical life – she is a regular guest with the major orchestras of the Nordic countries, and in the current 2025/26 season she is Artist in Residence with the Aarhus Symphony Orchestra. Marianna Shirinyan is also a welcome guest on the international concert stage; she has performed with, among others, the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra, the BBC Symphony Orchestra and the National Taiwan Symphony Orchestra.
