Olli Mustonen will present two concert programmes on 14 May in Wuppertal as part of the Klavier-Festival Ruhr: in the afternoon, he will give a solo performance evoking the 1920s, and in the evening, he will perform his own piano quintet from 2014 alongside Dvořák’s Quintet in A major with the Meta4 string quartet.

At the afternoon concert at the Von der Heydt Museum, Olli Mustonen will accompany musicologist Tobias Bleek and the museum’s deputy director, Anna Storm, on a guided tour and a lecture on the work of Otto Dix. With works by Erwin Schulhoff, Igor Stravinsky and Paul Hindemith, he will take the audience on a musical journey back to the jazz-infused 1920s.
