Cloud Gate Dance Theatre of Taiwan will be performing the dance piece Sounding Light – which explores the delicate balance between human civilisation and nature – in Ludwigsburg on 22 and 23 May and at the Bregenzer Frühling on 29 May.

Sounding Light is an ode to nature and a rediscovery of how to listen with our senses and our minds. Created during the pandemic, this choreography by Cloud Gate’s artistic director, Tsung-lung Cheng, follows a day filled with sunlight, punctuated by clouds and shadows. Using their voices, breath and percussive bodies, the dancers create a natural soundtrack that evokes, both acoustically and visually, breezy winds, forest animals and flowing water.
