From 9 May to 5 July, Johannes Klumpp will be conducting Mozart’s The Magic Flute in Gelsenkirchen, which will be presented in a completely new guise at the Musiktheater im Revier – directed by Nora Krahl using digital techniques, artificial intelligence and interactive technologies.

At the podium of the Neue Philharmonie Westfalen, Johannes Klumpp conducts an unconventional version of Mozart’s opera. MiR.LAB of the Musiktheater im Revier, which explores new forms of musical theatre at the intersection of participation, art and digital technology, brings grand opera and video game concepts together.
