In 2021, Ondřej Adámek caused a stir with Where Are You?. The world premiere, performed by the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra under Sir Simon Rattle with Magdalena Kožená, took place whilst pandemic restrictions were still in place. The conductor subsequently took the work on tour with the London Symphony Orchestra and it was performed, again with mezzo-soprano Magdalena Kožená, at the Lucerne Festival, the Musikfest Berlin, as well as in Antwerp, Luxembourg, Dortmund and Bucharest.
