Lin Liao conducts season opening in Stuttgart

On 20 September, Lin Liao will conduct the season-opening concert at the Staatsoper Stuttgart.

Following last year’s huge success, Lin Liao will once again conduct the season-opening concert at the Stuttgart State Opera in 2026. Under the theme ‘A Journey Through the Opera House’, this detective-themed concert gala – featuring music by Ludwig van Beethoven, Gordon Kampe, Giacomo Puccini, Dora Pejačević, Giuseppe Verdi, Dmitri Shostakovich, Franz Schubert and Richard Strauss – offers a glimpse into the season’s productions.

Sarah Wegener performs almost every kind of repertoire, from her own lieder recital ideas to large new orchestral works. Looking back at her career, she is amazed how consistently its stations have emerged.
