Across the threshold: Peter Rundel and Caroline Melzer can be seen at the Ruhrtriennale in August in a production with music by Grisey, Vivier, Scelsi, and Xenakis.

Ich geh unter lauter Schatten is the title of the music theater, which is dedicated to crossing thresholds, entering unknown spaces, transcendence, and final moments. Central to the production staged by Elisabeth Stöppler are Gérard Grisey's Quatre chants pour franchir le seuil and Claude Vivier's last composition Glaubst Du an die Unsterblichkeit der Seele (Do You Believe in the Immortality of the Soul).
